Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about credit repair, our process and what to expect. No fine print games.

How much can you improve my credit score?
No legitimate company can promise a specific score or a specific deletion — and you should be cautious of anyone who does. What we can promise is a documented, systematic process: we identify inaccurate and unverifiable items, dispute them in writing, and keep you informed of every result. Score movement depends on what is on your report and how quickly the bureaus and creditors respond.
Do I have to pay before any work is done?
No. Under federal law we cannot charge advance fees. Your first payment is scheduled only after work begins, and your monthly fee covers ongoing dispute work — not a promise of results.
Can I just do this myself for free?
Yes — you absolutely can dispute items yourself at no cost, and we will tell you that plainly. Many people choose us for the time, the paperwork, the follow-up and the paper trail. If doing it yourself is right for you, we would rather you know that.
How long does credit repair take?
Credit repair is a process measured in dispute cycles, not days. Most clients see movement across several months, depending on what is on the report and how the bureaus and creditors respond. Anyone promising fast, guaranteed results is not being honest with you.
What items can you actually dispute?
We challenge items that are inaccurate, incomplete or unverifiable. That can include collections, late payments, charge-offs, judgments and inquiries — but only where there is a legitimate basis to dispute. We cannot and will not remove accurate, timely information.
Is CreditFixRS a law firm?
No. CreditFixRS is a credit repair organization, not a law firm, and we do not provide legal advice. We can refer you to a consumer-law attorney for legal questions.
Can I cancel?
Yes, at any time. Service is month-to-month, and you also have a three-business-day right to cancel after signing without any fee, as federal law requires.
Will this hurt my credit?
Disputing items with the bureaus does not lower your score. Verifying your own report and challenging inaccuracies is a right you have as a consumer, and exercising it does not damage your credit.
What do you need to get started?
Just your name and contact details to begin a free analysis. Do not send your Social Security number through our website — we will walk you through secure document handling when it is time.
Do you serve my state?
Credit-repair rules vary by state, and some states regulate or restrict credit-repair organizations. Contact us with your state and we will confirm what is available to you before you sign up for anything.
